What you will achieve
Use the group's readiness and review surfaces to identify member work, inspect its evidence and maintain governed follow-up without collapsing different outcomes into one score.
Before you start
Confirm the group-owner organisation, group, assessment cycle and your review permissions. Understand whether you are looking at all active members, a selected population or just the visible page.
A member's response, disclosed evidence, review outcome and exception state are separate facts. Keep them separate in reports and conversations.
Find the source behind the summary
- Open the group's Readiness page and read the interpretation guidance.
- Select the position or geography you need to investigate.
- Inspect Firms behind the selected position or the corresponding member table, including its total and pagination.
- Open the relevant member, requirement or mandate to inspect the source.
- Compare cycle movement only after checking the population and the denominator described by the chart.
- Include missing, withheld or unavailable information in your explanation rather than treating it as satisfactory.
Review and follow up
Use the group's review workspace to inspect released responses and mandate-control review populations. Record the supported review verdict only after examining the relevant source.
Create a linked finding or recommendation from the source item when follow-up is needed. Distinguish Response required from Advice only, and set the requested due date and context accurately.
Review the draft before Issue to member. Inspect the member's response history when they reply. Use Return for response for an inadequate response, or the supported close action when the evidence justifies closure. Reopening is a separate recorded action.
Handle exceptions explicitly
Where authorised, use Grant governed exception only for a considered exception to the specified obligation or member situation. Read the form's scope, reason and timing requirements and review the saved exception afterwards.
Do not grant an exception merely to clear an overdue indicator. Explain its basis, limits and review responsibility, and retain the underlying obligation and history.
Check it worked
Your finding remains linked to its source, the member sees the issued follow-up where permitted, and the status reflects the actual response or review. Any exception is explicit rather than hidden in a favourable summary.
If something goes wrong
| Problem | Next action |
|---|---|
| Chart and table populations differ | Inspect filters, pagination and the stated scope |
| Evidence is withheld | Resolve disclosure rather than inventing an assessment |
| Member replied but finding remains open | Review the response and record the appropriate next decision |
| A close or exception action is uncertain | Refresh its record and history before repeating it |
Human judgement matters
Programme visibility supports accountable review; it does not authorise the group to rewrite a member's facts or claim assurance beyond the disclosed evidence.
What next?
For the wider context, see Manage clients and company groups. Review outstanding actions with their owners and preserve metric definitions and caveats in programme reporting.
